Henschen founded Henschen in 1949 and incorporated
as Ohio Ditcher in 1953. From 1955 when Henschen pioneered the first
rubber torsion axle to today, hundreds of thousands of axles have been
used under the worst possible conditions on and off the road.
In 1962 the name was changed from Ohio Ditcher to Henschen Industrial.
For a time it was known as QDS/Henschen, Inc., a Lakin General Company.
Today, it is GKN Off Highway Systems, the leading supplier of rubber
torsion systems in the U.S.A.
DURA-FLEX™ rubber torsion axle has demonstrated its durability all over
the world with millions of miles in use.
